I love doing the wash, well most of the time

I can’t believe it has already been a week. So lately I have been trying to wash anything that can get wet from area rugs, to shoes, to pillows. It all started with me getting a new washer and dryer. The story of getting it is a long one but in short I saw a fabulous deal, bought it online, they sold out, I kept calling and calling telling them I wanted my washer and dryer and one day a month later they showed up.

But after today I was really wishing I had a carpet cleaning after Brooklyn got into my powdered bronzer and scraped out all the contents onto my carpet. For not being a liquid it is surprisingly staining to carpet. Anyone have any tips on how to clean makeup out of carpet?

A Temple is coming to Payson!

This is week #2 in my goal to blog for twenty weeks in a row. My life is very ordinary, which I prefer actually but it is hard to find things interesting to write about. This week was exciting though, the LDS church announced they were building a temple right here in Payson. It is about a mile away from my house, if there wasn’t a house right in front of us we would have a great view.

We have heard rumors for years, I think ever since I have lived here, that they were thinking about building a temple here so it came as quite shock that they really were. I have to say I also wish that dang Target that has been rumored to be built in Spanish Fork would actually be built, but I guess a temple a mile away is just as good.

I have to confess the first things that went through my mind were #1 yeah my house value is going to raise if we want to sale in the next year or so, #2 No more excuses for not getting to the temple anymore #3 Dang maybe we shouldn’t move from Payson. It was probably in that order so I guess you know where my priorities are.

I will post schedule dates and rendered pictures as they come available.

Twenty Dollars

#1

I have been blessed with many things, the English language and everything that goes along with it was not one of them. That makes me dread blogging because unfortunately writing the English language is only way to do it. Having said that I am going to start blogging again. I had a breakthrough last night while watching a movie.

It was not a movie I intended to watch actually. The story is kind of funny and the mistake kind of expensive. Zack, I think, was playing with the remote and pushing all kinds of buttons, and whether he knew what he was doing is still unknown but while he was pushing all the buttons he ordered 4 “movie on demand” movies. Since we had never watched them, I thought we could reverse the charges but Dish has a policy of never reversing the charges because “it asks twice if you really want to rent the movie”. So at $4.99 each we were stuck with an extra $20 fee. Jason and I thought we would make the best of it so we decided to watch one of the two that were still available. The movie ended up being Julie and Julia.

I liked the movie but it was more than that, it hit a cord with me. I am that 30 year old that feels like something is missing. I want to do something that is hard for me and I decided writing is just that. I want to do a whole bunch of other things but I will start with writing.

I have a few rules

#1 The title has to be short ( I over think it ever time) it will be the first thing that comes to mind

#2 I am writing for myself, I will not worry about what others are thinking

#3 I need to write a post at least once a week--the hardest rule of them all.

#4 I have to do it at least 20 weeks

My Spring Updates

I know it is Summer now but I thought I would post what we have been up to from April until June.

This was our way fun trip to Arizona to see our friends from Dental School the Montoyas. We were also able to see one of my roommates from college, Tiffany Larsen. In this picture we were at an old abandoned gold mine.

Brock took first place in the Pine Wood Derby! Although Jason helped, Brock owes most of the thanks to Shane, his uncle.

Zack turned 3, Time really is Flying

Jason and I celebrated our 10th anniversary, I can honestly say I would marry him all over again.

In April I became Young Women's President in our Ward. Shocking I know. This was our girls camp at Koholowo. It rained all three and half days but we still had a blast.

And finally I turned 30! This was a hard birthday, I really never wanted to leave my twenties.

That is what has been going on in our life in Cliff Note form

My Favorite Cereal just got Better

Of course my favorite cereal is a sugar cereal, all my friends know I love straight sugar. But I have switched from loving Lucky Charms to Cinnamon Toast Crunch. With CTC you can even see the sugar coated right on the flakes (some may think that is gross, as I initially did, but once I tried it I embraced it fully).

So when our local stores have a sale on GM cereals I stock up, mostly on CTC. Not only did I get a sweet deal on the cereals ,they are running a promotion with cash cards in 1 in 10 boxes. Since our family isn't very lucky I didn't even think twice about it until we opened our first box and found a $5 cash card in it. Since then we have found a $25, and 2 more $5 dollar cash cards all in CTC boxes. 40 Dollars in cash for eating my favorite cereal, not a bad deal.

April Fools

I thought it would be fun to make dinner that looked like dessert, but the joke ended up being on me because none of my kids thought it was funny and they all refused to eat it. Even Brooklyn took one bite and then wouldn't open her mouth again. I guess next time we will go back to the normal way of eating mashed potatoes and meat loaf, how boring.

Brooklyn's 1 year old

I can not believe it has been a year. Me and Brooklyn, we stick together. I think I love raising her because I know she will be a mommy someday. I love to see her pick up clothes (or anything soft) hold it to her chest and pat it like a baby. Or maybe I like her so much because she prefers to be with me instead of her dad, unlike my other two children. Whatever it is, I have loved having her this last year.

This is the boys so excited about the present, they couldn't keep their hands off of it. After it was opened they still wouldn't let her play with it. (Did you notice the cute dress Alisa).

Her butterfly cake, it was fun to finally make a girly cake.
