April Fools
I thought it would be fun to make dinner that looked like dessert, but the joke ended up being on me because none of my kids thought it was funny and they all refused to eat it. Even Brooklyn took one bite and then wouldn't open her mouth again. I guess next time we will go back to the normal way of eating mashed potatoes and meat loaf, how boring.

Brooklyn's 1 year old
I can not believe it has been a year. Me and Brooklyn, we stick together. I think I love raising her because I know she will be a mommy someday. I love to see her pick up clothes (or anything soft) hold it to her chest and pat it like a baby. Or maybe I like her so much because she prefers to be with me instead of her dad, unlike my other two children. Whatever it is, I have loved having her this last year.
This is the boys so excited about the present, they couldn't keep their hands off of it. After it was opened they still wouldn't let her play with it. (Did you notice the cute dress Alisa).

I haven't posted in a while, so here are a couple of things we have been up to lately.
Zacks potty trained!!!
The third time is the charm. The first time I tried he peed on the floor and while I was cleaning up the mess he went downstairs and pooped on the carpet. He then walked in it and smeared it all into the carpet. I was done with trying after only an hour.
A couple of months later after reading that Cheree was potty training Carter I got up the nerve again. 48 hours into potty training their was no success to mention. He had peed all over my house but never in the potty. I got motivated again the third time when I signed him up for Fall preschool and found out he couldn't go unless he was in underwear. After only one accident we had success in the potty, Yeah! We have been pushing forward ever since. He now goes everywhere in underwear and he even takes his naps in underwear (I don't trust him with nights yet but most the time he wakes up dry)
My advise to anyone that is in this stage, use pull ups as little as possible. If Zack had pull ups on he would go in his pants no problem because it absorbed just like a diaper. But if he went when he had underwear on he knew right away that there was a problem. I think it sped up training him. Kind of a pain the first couple of days but well worth it.
This is Brock with two of his cousins at the Draper Temple Open House. He was pretty excited to be able to see the inside of a temple. He walked around in awe of everything. He wanted to take pictures of everything but since cameras weren't allowed, he literally took mental pictures. He would look up at what he wanted to remember and hold his hand like he had a camera and click an imaginary picture, it was way cute to see. His favorite parts of the tour were the sealing room and the celestial room, I would have to agree. I love that it already gets him excited about getting married in the temple.

Our Trip to the Zoo
I love, LOVE spring. Brock had school off on Friday so we went to the Zoo. It was perfect weather. I can not wait to start my garden this year.
After the Zoo we went to this is the Place Monument. All the houses weren't open yet so we just walked around and took pictures then headed to the Gateway Mall for the kids to play in the fountain while I shopped. What a great day.
So that is what we have been up to the last couple of months. Nothing to exciting but we like it that way.

Merry Christmas IN January
I know sending this via my blog is lame (not to mention it is January) but I have a couple of excuses. First I sent two different cards that took hours to put together to Costco and both times they didn't work out. Second I totally ran out of time.I felt bad every time I opened up a Christmas card from all my cute, responsible, on-top-of-it friends. And I have been filling bad for about a month now so this is my attempt to ease my conscience. So Merry Christmas from all of us (next year you are going to get my Christmas Card at the first of December)!!!

Thanksgiving with Smiths
One of the things I love about being in Utah is being able to have Thanksgiving with our families. It was my family this year and we had a blast together telling stories about when were young. I always remember how tame I was compared to speeding, fight starting, boyfriend lov'n siblings.
Could this table get any longer, I think we need to put a cap on any more grandchildren right now.
Twilight Party
I am way over my Twilight Obession but when the movie was coming out I couldn't pass up an oppurtnity to have a party. I had previously had an Olympic party and Halloween party at my house so I made someone else volunteer their house and I would help them plan it. So the theme was apples (because of the book cover) and the colors were black, white and red(also because of the books).
So in this picture we are all enjoying our apple beer.
Then of course all the food was apple themed. After we had twilight trivia we went and saw the movie.
Just a side note, I am so not a fan of the movie. Robert Pattenson has ruined Edward for me, oh well I guess Jason is still the only one for me:>

What's new?!
It's been a long time, I know! So much for my once a month blogging. So I just wanted to catch everyone up on the last 6 months of our lives. Well, to tell you the truth there isn't much to catch up on, there hasn't been any major changes or events that have happened. We have just been busy living life.
Brooklyn has probably gone through the biggest change. She has gone from a newborn to a little girl who is crawling. I know parents aren't suppose to have their favorites but she comes darn close to being mine (the other two are a close second). We had a rough start with her having colic but now she is so calm and sweet. She just crawls around the house doing her own thing.
Zack has kind of become the teasing, jealous older brother we thought we had avoided. He is so cute and fun most of the time but loves to scream all day and make sure Brooklyn has no toys in her hands.
Brock just finished up soccer and flag football and will start basketball in January. It is definitely his life that makes ours so busy. Between homework, scouts, and sports dinner often becomes take-out.
We spent Halloween in Disneyland this year with the Allan Family, here are some of the pictures.
